Volunteer to Serve at Lutherans in AFrica
How Can I Serve at LIA?
- Teach
- We regularly host 3-4 teachers a year from the USA, Canada, and other countries. We could double or triple that number. We need LCMS pastors to come and teach at our seminary so that Rev. May can teach around the continent.
- Intensive classes are typically two weeks long. This is a great opportunity for your congregation to fund a mission activity that will enliven your preaching and teaching for years to come.
- If interested in teaching at the Lutheran School of Theology you can fill out the form below and Rev. James May (Executive Director) and the Academic Dean will get in contact with you.
- VolunteerThere are several opportunities for you to volunteer at our new seminary in Kenya. We have had several volunteers from the states come and help us with several kinds of projects. Here are some of the needs we have:
- Livestock and garden help
- General clean up and organization
- Cabinet making
- Electrical
- Library cataloging
- Painting
- Landscaping
- Other things you can think of

How Can I Help Form African Lutherans to Be Teachers of the Faith?
There are many dangers and troubles we face because of the devil and a sinful world. These are combated by Christ and you can help by praying for our protection, the proclamation of the Word, and open hearts to receive the Gospel.
You can help us succeed by volunteering to serve LIA with your vocational skills and talents. You can also advocate for LIA by telling others about the work of the mission at the Lutheran School of Theology and encourage them to get involved.
Prayerfully consider a financial gift to LIA to further the spread of the Gospel in Africa. Encourage your church to add Lutherans In Africa to their mission budget each year. Donate Bibles, Catechisms, and other theological resources.
